SUN MICROSYSTEMS
Photographic print commission.
The project is to make a 4' x 7' print of one of Stacey
Morse's
photographs of Colorado.
The artwork was developed from an existing
negative from Stacey Morse's portfolio. The client was given a number
of images to choose from. The print was mounted and framed in
St. Louis, MO and then shipped and installed in Denver, CO.
The artwork is to be installed over fireplace at the end of the room.

This was the image chosen by Sun Microsystems to be enlarged to
48" x 72" and framed with a custom natural maple frame
measuring 66" x 90". This image was shot in August in the
mountains North of Crested Butte, CO. The area is along a
4 wheel drive road just before and area known as Devil's Punchbowl.

Now that the imagery has been selected and is being printed,
we begin work on the frame the first step of which is to select the lumber.

Next the lumber must be milled and cut to specifications.

Then the frame must be assembled, sanded, and coated with polyurethane.

The finished frame is then layed out and the plexiglass, print, and
backing are placed inside. The whole peice is then carefully packed
and readied for shipment to Colorado.
This is the Sun Microsystems building in Denver, Colorado
where the the print will be installed.

Installing the support bar and hanging the work.
The proud artist and finished product.
